The USA Preps College Softball Camp is open to any and all players who are graduating from High School in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 or 2019 and have the desire to play college softball.
The USA Preps Instructional Camps and Tournaments provide collegiate coaches from across the Nation to participate as on field instructors for the entire event. We are also pleased to announce our newest addition to USA Preps. After 5 successful years as Associate Head Coach at Syracuse University, Wally King has decided to bring his talents to the West Coast and to USA Preps. Coach King brings with him an incredible amount of talent, enthusiasm and a fresh perspective on how to make USA Preps Camps even more successful and beneficial. Our NEW Camp is designed to allow players to develop their skills in the areas they want with the help of the college coaches working the event. Choose from any of the session below (up to 4):
Our completely redesigned Instructional Camp format is now affordable for EVERYONE! Pick 1 session or pick 4. Whatever best fits your needs and budget.
Our NEW Camp is designed to allow players to develop their skills in the areas they want with the help of the college coaches working the event.
Choose from any of the sessions below. You may choose one or more sessions with a maximum of 4 sessions + Showcase OR the Showcase on it's own. If you choose the showcase only, it's $100.
Session 1 begins at 4pm
Session 2 begins at 5pm
Session 3 begins at 6pm
Session 4 begins at 7pm
Pricing is as follows: $75 for the 1st session, $60 2nd session, $40 3rd session, $25 4th session.
• Pitching (Speed, movement, setting up batters, game situations, mental approach, perfecting
mechanics for optimal movement and velocity)
• Catching (Pop times, throw downs, blocking, framing, calling games, setting up batters, footwork,
force and tag plays at the plate, cut-offs, reading on-deck batters)
• Middle Infield (Set up, footwork, bag work, double plays, cut-offs, relays, proper backhands,
angle throwing, throwing on the run, proper angles)
• Corners (Defensive situational positioning, movement, slow rollers, bunts, throwing on the run,
angle throwing, bag work)
• Throwing (Arm speed/strength, angles, on move, throwing mechanics, footwork, slot throwing)
*Poor throwing mechanics and footwork are the direct result of the majority of errors*
• Hitting (Ball exit speed, bat velocity, efficiency for power, driving ball opposite field, setting up the
pitcher, mental approach, slapping, footwork and bat angle)
• Outfield (Various footwork for fly/ground balls, high low approach to balls in the gap, fence and
sideline awareness, communication with infielders, proper slot throwing
• Base Running (Home-First, Home-Home, leads, stealing, rounding, reading balls, catchers
and pitchers)
• Recruiting Seminar (FREE with at least 1 purchased session)
• SHOWCASE your newly learned skills.
Now, the control is in your hands for what fit your needs the best. We want to make sure that we provide the girls every opportunity to learn from and be seen by the college coaches. This new Camp format helps to make that happen. Like any other USA Preps event, the College Coaches are out ON the field instructing and evaluating.
If you're participating in this event without your team you get the above 4 sessions, the showcase AND you also play in 5 games, coached exclusively by college coaches.
