USA PREPS 2014 NATIONALS INSTRUCTIONAL CAMP


Over the past 3 years we have had some of the top teams in the country participate in our USA Preps Nationals and it continues to grow bigger every year! This year we have a better group of quality teams than ever before! You will be playing against the best of the best, as each team must qualify to participate. To qualify you must have participated in a USA Preps event earlier in the year and placed 1st or 2nd in your pool, or received a berth at our National Qualifying events.

All teams participating in this event must have a minimum of 3 players from their team participate in the camp. Each player that wants to participate can sign-up online and make monthly payments. Payment in full must be made 30 days prior to the camp.

The USA Preps Nationals are being held in Southern California, on 16 fields at 2 locations only 10 minutes apart. Each location has 8 fields. Nationals will take place November 8th-11th (Veteran's Day). Over 50 College Coaches have worked and attended each of the last two Nationals and we expect this year to be bigger and better than ever. Each and every College Coach in attendance knows that every team had to qualify for this event and is considered to be some of the best in the country!

• This year you will play 3 pool play games and then double elimination bracket play
• All team competitions are included in the cost of the event.
• Each team that participates will receive a Tanner Tee, Mojo Balls, a set of Hitting Jack-its, and a Jaeger J-Band.

Saturday, November 8th – 3 Pool Play Games, and All-Star Games
Sunday, November 9th – Camp, Team Competition, and Opening Ceremonies
Monday, November 10th - Bracket Play - Double Elimination
Tuesday, November 11th – Bracket Play Continues, Championship Games!

Camp with Meet & Greet of all the College Coaches, Recruiting Seminar, and 5 Instructional Sessions

Team Competitions:

Road Runner (2 from each team): Individual players will compete for the fastest player at the event. Home to Home. Trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place

Home Run Derby (1 from each team): Individual players will compete to show their power. 10 front tossed balls. Hit-off if necessary. Trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place

Diamond Drill (9 from each team): This is a team competition. Up to 9 players from a team will compete in a defensive skills event that includes throwing and catching. Each team will be timed and the team with the lowest time wins! Catcher to Catcher timed.

Pitcher to Catcher – Catcher to 1B – 1B to SS(at 2B base) – SS to 3B – 3B to LF – LF to RF – RF to CF – CF to 2B(at 2B base) – 2B to Catcher.

Each infield player must either tag plate or base. Outfielders will be in circles. Must stay inside the circle to catch and throw the ball. Three second penalty if thrown outside the circle. If there is a bad throw, only the player the ball was thrown to can retrieve it and return to original spot before throwing.
